Excellent pizza at a reasonable price!
Each year we visit Telluride and make it a point to dine at La Piazza del Villaggio Ristorante as the food is delicious and the environment warm and welcoming. We were delighted by the service provided by Gitanni and are grateful for his contribution to a wonderful evening.
Such a great pizzeria. Authentic brick oven Italian pizza. Not the American version with massive thick dough and tons of cheese. This one is so crispy and so good!!!!!! Best pizza I have had in the United states in 26 years since I have lived here and moved or traveled all over the country. Just like at the authentic Itakian pizzerias I know from Germany and Italy. The owner is ao nice. Just love this place.
The food is very good. There are some unique drinks on the menu and our waiter was our bar tender too. It is a small-medium sized place with a warm and comforting decor. The food came out a little more quickly than I like because I wanted to enjoy my very tasty Miner's Daiquiri before I started eating, but it wasn't a big deal for me. Overall, I think this restaurant has a nice balance between price, service, and atmosphere and would be great for a romantic or casual experience.
In my opinion the best Italian in Mountain Village. Great place to watch the sunset or catch one of the outdoor concerts in the summer.
